Romy Pfeifer

Biography

Romy Pfeifer was born in Bad Säckingen in 1956. After studying business administration at Reutlingen University of Applied Sciences, she worked for many years at a publishing house and later became self-employed as a sales representative. In addition to these activities, she intensively explored the medium of photography as an artist. Experimental and abstract photography held the greatest significance for her. Romy Pfeifer has received numerous awards and art prizes. She lives and works near Tübingen. Her photographic work can be divided into various genres: portrait and animal photography (mostly commissioned work), travel photography, and abstract photography of nature and landscapes. Her more abstract series, in particular, are almost indistinguishable from paintings. The artist skillfully plays with long exposures, multiple exposures, diffuse transitions, mystical and enigmatic lighting effects, and overlaps. Every image she takes in nature is, for the artist, a homage to nature, a meditation, and a healing act. Cyclical changes, transformations, and the rhythms of nature have a lasting impact on human life. Her images aim to contribute to preserving the beauty of nature, capturing what has changed in the next moment. Her images are an invitation to everyone to take a closer look and be enchanted by the beauty that shines through her images. Romy Peifer has presented her works in numerous exhibitions and at art fairs in Germany and abroad. Since 2025, she has been represented by LDXArt Gallery.
